Course Description

This course focuses on the specific issues of oxygen system safety that relate to operations and maintenance practices. This 4 hour minimum course empowers system operators and maintenance personnel to make knowledgeable and responsible decisions regarding oxygen systems and increases awareness to potential hazards. Concepts include cleaning, inspection, assembly and disassembly, operations, and maintenance.

This is an on-site, live instruction course. It can be scheduled to accomodate company hours and shift schedules. It can also be packaged with the O2 Inspect - Visual Inspection training to provide a comprehensive 6 hour course that addresses both topics.

Goals & Outcomes

The learning goal of this course is to study industry best practices and incorporate them into daily oxygen system handling, operation and maintenance.

The student will examine the hazards of oxygen use, recognize compatible materials, identify common ignition mechanisms in oxygen systems, and describe industry best practices related to oxygen handling, system cleaning, inspection, assembly, operations and maintenance.
